The cheapest, most convenient I can think of is to run outside on a nice day in a place with beautiful scenery, and pump up the volume on your iPod when a fast, energetic song comes on. (I run with Franz Ferdinand, lol.)
You could always try some new things like Pilates or like others have mentioned, dancing, or trying out a sport you might be interested in. You could also move the TV in front of the treadmill and watch some soccer at the same time or something. Watching sports while running always makes me pumped, for some reason. Anyway, exercise is all about the mind. If you focus your mind enough, you won't get bored or tired as easily. Running with nothing but the sound of your feet hitting the treadmill...of course you're going to be bored! All you'll think of is running and how tiring it is. Just find lots of things to preoccupy yourself with when you're exercising, and that should help instantly. |
