any dancers on cb? of any kind. i do ballet, jazz, lyrical, hip hop, polynesian, and used to do tap. since i was 3!..and if you think dance isnt a sport (cuz i've met a few who think that) it is indeed a sport! there was this study and dance is the 2nd most strenuous sport next to swimming

I literally live and breathe for dancing. I've been taking ballet, jazz and tap for 12 years, and lyrical, pointe and hip hop for 8 and Latin, tango and meringue for 4. I teach everything but pointe (you have to have a special certification in new york to teach it) and I compete in everything.
I don't believe that ballet and lyrical are considered sports, although the athletic ability required for them would overqualify. They are more of and art. Hip hop and the latin dances are sports though. |

Yay! I have taken ballet, jazz, Creative modern, and Hip-hop classes. I stuck with Jazz and Ballet (mostly because I got on to pointe). I haven't done any latin dance classes or ballroom dancing...Must be fun!
