Is it true that getting a new bf helps get over the old one, because this guy just asked me out, and I have to get back to him with a yes or a no. But I just broke up with my bf last week.

That's pretty much... having a rebound. Which is also using the new one so you can lie to yourself and say that you're over the old one, when you're really not. No good can come out of dating someone to get over someone else, that's just sloppy seconds.
