div overlay help, I've read the tutorials and the help sections but I still can' Options

I've been trying to change a regular site layout into a myspace layout. Yes I've seen the tutorials and comment boxes provided but my problem are the comments themselves NOT the comment BOX. (and some other problems too )

My site has a few problems:

1) The old profile still shows up at the side
2) My comment box works, but the comments themselves won't show up
3) It looks like the layout was split in half near the middle horizontally (you can see a little bit of the old profile seeping through and that's where the comments sort of disappear- and the main layout graphics are cut off)
4) The searchbar at the top (need to get rid of it if possible)
5) The stats for the "topic" name aren't showing up. For example, in the code it's supposed to have one set of dashed lines around the topic name, but right now there isn't anything. Also, it won't let me use bold in my navigation bar...

Since I just joined myspace yesterday, I copy pasted a few table codes that were supposed to get rid of the old profile. I don't know which ones are messing the layout up and which ones are actually helping.
and I know the comments box and comments code work because the first time I tried, they showed up but there was a gap between the main layout and the bar layout that continues the main one

ohh I see..well like I said this is a regular site with some codes from myspace layouts pasted here and there >>; The myspace codes you use to get rid of the old profile and all this other stuff...I really had no idea which code did what so I just kept all of them haha *first time using myspace*

It would really be a big help if you recoded it If I know where I'm supposed to put the actual contents in the code then I'll be fine. Looking at the pic it looks fine to me cept the links and the headings. As long as the space right of the layout is pure white with no other words peeking out, the comments show up (transparent background), and it's aligned to fit in the space provided, then i'm seriously happy xD
Just show me how to add images and such in the new code so that later if I want to put images in I can. like is it a < img src = " tag or [img] tag or what?

oh yah I fixed the coding so that the links coding (hover/active color etc), the scrollbar, and the title headings would show up properly. In my last post I think I explained that whole # color problem

that should fix the scrollbar. All i did was remove the ".." in front of the color codes and it fixed all of them.

I don't know how you recoded the coding so the css probably won't help but if you can get the heading, link codes, and the scrollbar to work then that would be great =)
and don't worry I WON'T touch ANYTHING! lol not after all this mess!!!
