I'm kind of embarassed to say this, but I just noticed that I have a huge breakout on my chest and back. I went on vacation last week and I went tanning every afternoon and I used quite a bit of tanning oil all over my body. I got a fabulous tan, but I'm pretty sure the oil caused my skin to break out. Is there any way to clear it up quickly without having to go to the dermatologist? I'd rather not spend a fortune on something someone could easily tell me how to fix. I'm freaking out. I've always have great skin, and this is bothering me quite a lot.
What do you use? Has this happened to you? What works the best? |

If it was an allergic reaction, it would go away in a few days. One of my friends is having the same exact problem. She had an allergic reaction with a plant, but it looks like it won't go away very soon and they've stayed on for almost a week.
I read in Seventeen magazine that continually washing your skin will only make it worse because you're rubbing off all the natural oils of your skin. I would shower as I normally would, use soap to get all the dirt out of my pores and use a lotion all over my body. You could have someone help you with your back. If that doesn't help it clear up, you can use an acne product from Neutrogena or Clearasil or Noczema or something. If that doesn't help after a while, I would definitely reccomend seeing a dermotologist or even your physician. It's good to have a professional's help. ![]() ![]() |
