It seems as though places like school are becoming segregated again. I go to an all black school, with the exception of 3 or 4 asians and 3 or 4 hispanics. I used to do the M to M program. It was a program called Minority to Majority. Then they shut it off because of one man complaining about busing. It turns out he was a racist and didn't want blacks going to school with his daughter.(Which now blacks are moving into their community so...) Now they made me go back to my home school Towers. I don't live in the inner city and my neighborhood is black. Busing forced intergration. I loved going to Peachtree because of the fact that it was so many different races there. Now it is only one race. No diveristy at all. That is not how it is going to be in the real world. You will incounter people from all different backgrounds. So the question is Should we restart Busing

yeah but it is not like that everywhere. Up North is more racist than down here in the South and of course racism goes the same way. Now ya'll are going to be like i'm contraditing myself but I do like going to an all black school and if i were asked if i wanted to go to Dunwoody I would say no not only because i couldn't stand those kids cause they tried so hard to someone they weren't, but I do feel more at home at that school. I just would like to see people of different races but then that accounts for their parents moving into the neighborhood. I don't like in the projects or ghetto or anything so it wouldn't be like someone moving into my neighborhood would be ostracized. I would want more intergrated schools because there would be less of an ignorance of other races. Because the one thing I HATE about that school is the ignorance level. Also that they want to say the white man this the whtie man that. i just yell THE WHITE MAN DOESN'T CARE ABOUT YOU, JUST AS THE BLACK MAN DOESN'T CARE ABOUT THE WHITE MAN. I can't stand when folks say the "man" is keeping them down when they just need to get their lazy selves up and do something for a change....anyways backl on subject
Also with M to M you chose if you wanted to go to the other school or not they did not force you |
