Busing and ReSegregation, intergration Options

It seems as though places like school are becoming segregated again. I go to an all black school, with the exception of 3 or 4 asians and 3 or 4 hispanics. I used to do the M to M program. It was a program called Minority to Majority. Then they shut it off because of one man complaining about busing. It turns out he was a racist and didn't want blacks going to school with his daughter.(Which now blacks are moving into their community so...) Now they made me go back to my home school Towers. I don't live in the inner city and my neighborhood is black. Busing forced intergration. I loved going to Peachtree because of the fact that it was so many different races there. Now it is only one race. No diveristy at all. That is not how it is going to be in the real world. You will incounter people from all different backgrounds. So the question is Should we restart Busing

I'm glad they are stopping busing. I lived in Cleveland and watched the school system take a dump. The blacks didn't want to be in our schools in the first place and to show their disapproval they totally vandalised the high school and middle school!! Every May they had "May Day" where they would start a riot and beat on any white kids that came to school that day. NO I'm not joking I'm dead serious!! It was the one day that no white kids EVER went to school. There have been many riots in the high school, it was almost a weekly thing on the news...now I'm not saying it was the "blacks" fault all the time, it was the fact that none of them wanted to be integrated and this was how they proved it.

Racism in Cleveland is some serious sh*t!! It's everywhere!! I'm sure many inner cities are the same way. Tensions run high when you have thousands upon thousands of culturally diverse peoples living on top of eachother like a bunch of sardines.

Racism works both ways, ya know.

On the other hand the whites didn't want to go into a full black neighborhood either. Most of the kids I knew dropped out of school either because they got chased out of the neighborhood or were just to scared to go in the first place.

I remember my first day of orientation at the middle school in the projects I was supposed to be bussed too. This one black chick I guess didn't like the way this white chick looked at her...so she walked up to her called her a white honkey bitch (yah the grammar is quotable...lol) and stabbed her with her pen. Needless to say my Mom wasn't too keen on that sh*t so she shipped me off to Catholic school.

No one should be FORCED to go to a certain school, and why in heck they think it's better to send a kid on a 45 minute bus ride into a strange neighborhood as opposed to going to the school 2 streets away is beyond me!!
