so ive been running on only the track team since freshman year. (will be a junior.) my dad made a point to me yesterday that i probably could join cross country and also run with the dog during the summer so that my legs get used to the running before track starts. (usually, theres extreme soreness the first 2 weeks.)
so, i was wondering..how much do cross country runners actually run? im sure that many people just exaggerate but im kinda curious about this. also, does anyone know the times of just a jv runner? i dont plan on making varsity the first year i run it. |

What did you run in during track season?
I run track and cross county, hands down I like cross country more. I don’t know about any where else, but we have “Hell” week. Two weeks before the season starts, we wake up at 6 in the morning and 6 at night and run at the park. We run about 3 – 4 miles at practice. Our largest meet is our own here at the school, and its about 3.5 miles. Then the smallest one we have is a little less the 3. It kicks butt. All I have to say is…. Do it. PS, Asic makes the best Cross Country shoes in the world.... |
