for those teenagers that have been in a monogamous relationship for at least 2 years:
do you guys celebrate the small monthly "anniversaries" anymore? i remember in the first couple of months in our relationship, we got excited for one month, 2 months, 3 months, but after a while, we just stopped caring about the small months. only the 6 month semianniversaries and the anniversary itself became special. like, we only celebrate our 2.5, 3, 3.5 etc year anniversary. is it the same for others? |

I would only celebrate annual anniversaries after I hit the 2 year mark. I used to celebrate the monthly things and be really, really into them (I love holidays and stuff of that nature) until my ex completely ruined it for me by saying "anniversaries only mark how long two people have tolerated one another." That killed it and he wondered what the hell he did wrong
So right now, I'm just going to celebrate the 1 month, the 6 month and the annuals. Maybe the 100th day. |
