What's the worse break-up you've ever been in? Options

I haven't been broken up with in any
horrible way. But I've been torn apart
by a break up. One time, I dated this
girl for about half of a year, and we
decided to break up because we just
lost the "spark" for each other. Man,
was that the hardest thing to deal
with. She ended up dating my really
good friend, which tore me up even
more. I was a hermit. I never left
the house. I don't know..maybe I
over-exaggerated. But still, it was
way horrible.

My last boyfriend. We were together for a year and a half, and it was a tough year and a half together cause we always get in fights and We never treated each other the best possible. I didn't treat him well at the beginning and toward the end he treated me like crap. I got put second to his hobbies and I broke up with him. I broke up with him because he said to me that he didn't want to be with me anymore. He later follows it up with I'm happier now that we're not together. I don't regret breaking up, but I do regret that I wasted a year and half thinking that he loved me.
Since we went to the same school, I saw him a lot. When I saw one day that he paid attention to another girl like the way he use to pay attention to me when he would just say he loves me, etc, well it got me thinking that he never loved me, he only was infatuated with me like he is with this new girl. That just teared open the same wound again. I'm glad that he's no longer in the school cause he graduating in like a week, so I won't have to sit there and see him make googly eyes at someone else like he mocking me anymore. Hopefully I will stop thinking about him. I know I will still care about him, but I don't want that to hold me back. Cause he has held me back long enough.
