So, this boy and I both like each other. Options

I told him I liked him. He told me he liked me. But, he hasn't asked me out, yet. I understand from what his friends say, he's the shy type. I perfectly understand that, but when I have my friend ask him when he plans on asking me out, I always am told "Soon." Recently, a few days ago in school, I had her ask him again. She told me that he "wants to get to know me better." The twist is, he's a senior, and i'm only a freshmen. So, as each day passes by, it makes me feel as if it'll be too late, late as in June of 2006, by the time he bothers to ask me out. I'm not the biggest waiter with this stuff unless I can feel/tell that it's love. I'm not going to force him, because who knows what would happen. I just wish he would ask me out "soon"

I think you should just wait and see what happens. I'm sure u also want to know him better, isn't it? :) Try not to hurry too much, or else it'll cause you to do smething irrational & sudden.. especially now that u know that he's sort of like the "shy type". You can approach him a couple of times, but dnt always be the first to. Casual talk would eventually lead to the stage u want :) In terms of ur age, there's no problem with it. Ü I think its great.
