I understand your point about just judging a movie by its poster, but I don't know. I think it's the actual poster that hooks a person into seeing a movie. If I'm coming back from the movies and I see a poster that actually seems interesting, I'll look it up online, maybe see the trailer. A movie poster is supposed to lure people into wanting to see the movie, not make people shun it.
