I don't understand. I have friends that say they are depressed. They have no reason to. Maybe if they were starving to death and lived in Africa, maybe they might have a reason, but they live a normal American suburban life. It's ridiculous. Does anyone agree with me, or no?

Just because they live "normal" lives doesn't mean they don't have anything to be sad about. True, there are tons of people who have it way worse, but not everyone can be happy with what they have. Right now, your friends need someone who understands them. Maybe they'll feel a bit more...understood...if you listen. instead of you just assuming nothing's going on that maybe they're not telling you. And I get the feeling they're just dissatisfied D:
