Thats how it always happens for me. My boyfriend of four years was my friend first. I guess when I get close as a friend to a guy things usually ust prgress that way for me. I wouldnt personally wanna have a boyfriend who I hardly know! I say just take it easy, be patient, and see if his behaviour changes towards you. If he treats u lke just a friend, you will know. If he starts getting flirty and touchy and things...well thats a good sign.
