i say blesshu. idk why i say it like that. it's kind of like how some ppl say "febuary" instead of how it's spelled, february.

I usually say bless you or gesundheit or nothing. It's weird when people sneeze like 6 times in a row and there's an obligation to say something. Did you know the "god bless you" thing started during the Black Plague? People were dying too fast to be given proper burial rites so the Pope started the "god bless you" thing everytime somebody sneezed. that's what my teacher told me. I read about that in a book but it said that sneezing occurred in the final stages of it and they said it because they knew the person was about to die. I usually just say bless you on occassion. I rarely say it to strangers. When someone coughs, I usually mutter, "oh thanks," or "great," or "how wonderful," because they usually near me and don't cover their mouth ![]() |
