OK ive been told TO many times by NON swimmers that swimming is NOT a sport....im sorry but i dont think sombody can get in a pool and do 2 full laps in under a min (im not even there yet...just gotta lose a few more seconds) but it works down to the smallest muscle in your body....not only is it PHYSICAL its MENTAL...you gotta no when to turn how many srokes to take and just everything...you gotta have upper and lower body strength...so im sorry but it is a sport and its one of the best sports there is....

Swimming is surly a sport. the practices are hard and the meets are very competitive. Its alot harder to swim 200 m then to run 200 m and it tones you like you wouldn't believe.
