i think i would try to forget about him for now. it would upset your friend if she saw you flirting with him, and he'd probably feel uncomfortable if he doesn't like you. it's probably best if you let them go out or whatever (even though it'll suck watching them) and if you still have feelings for him when their relationship is over, then you should start dropping hints. good luck though.
