Do you think it's bad to "like" someone 6-7 years older than you, or to even have a real love interest in them?

Depends on your age. If you're, say, 21, and the person is 27, it's probably not a huge deal; if you're 15, and the person is 21, it probably is.
People change a lot as they age, especially once they move out of their house and are out on their own for a while, paying their own bills, that sort of thing. College, too, has a tendency to change people--usually for the better, but it causes a change no matter what. If both people are past these parts of their lives, they probably have a better handle on themselves, and know more about themselves, and then a relationship with a large age gap isn't really an issue. But if you're still in high school (or even younger), dating someone that much older probably won't work out very well. |
