The way I saw it. Was that they died
in the car accident. And their souls
were with the people that burned. So
in order to rest in peace, they had to
fight off the evil spirits and do what
was right. There was two realms, in
case you didn't notice. Like when her
husband was walking around, the sun
was really bright. But whenever she'd
be on the screen, it'd be like a dark
almost cold looking color.

the way i saw it, if you played the games. they get sent to thier own personal hell dimension (SH:1-4) where they must battle thier own fears, or share someone else's fears. 3 realms.

It's a world that she controls, and a world where all of her nightmarish delusions come to life. It exsits on the boarders between hell, purgatory, and our world. Her world has two states, a calm state and a dark state, depending on her how she feels. When she is calm, a thick, white fog shrouds the streets of her world and ashes slowly fall from the sky. When she is angry or in pain, the darkness from her nightmares takes over and everything is covered in rust. In order for the demon to be born, Alessa must become one with her other half again. The demon within Alessa calls out to Cheryl who is Alessa's other half.

that's only in the second one right? Because the guy killed his wife and his own guilt like...tried to kill him
