Two Lonely Souls Options

[Dark's Angel]

Drowning in my misery,
I sit soaked, in the rain
Looking up at the sky
With sad eyes full of pain,
I don't think
I'm feeling anything
But pain, sadness, and loneliness
My heart's so cold and empty

In my reverie,
A jet black raven lands
On my shoulder.
It's sad caw hits me
Right to the bone.

I wish that I
Could comfort it somehow.
Because it seems like it's
In the same position as me.

Being terribly lonely,
The outcast of society,
And just wanting to belong somewhere.

Where can our souls find solace?
Where can we find peace?
I wonder this as I
Look out into the pouring rain.

Sheltering him,
I felt my heart soften somewhat.
My eyes water and my head bows down
The rain stops slowly,
And the raven caws gently to me.

He seems a little more content now.
He's not alone,
And neither am I.
We have each other.

I love sitting in the rain and just think...Its somewhat and ode to The Raven because when i wrote it, I briefly thought about it....
