the other words that are mispronounced to me are:
coupon - q-pon water - wa-der and common nicknames i never heard of: sprinkles (like on ice cream) - jimmies slippers - flip flops lolipop - taffy ? lol yea i heard of all of those when i moved down south |

Its spelled correctly for its proper pronounciation. and water? I say it just like i would say footer. I dont say fooT Err, I say footer. the emphasis is on the first syllable there for making it sound like a d, but really say the word wider and listen to the d sound, its different. single ts and single ds are similer in sound of course, but you wouldnt say WaTERRR. sounds stupid. :D And its CARA-MELLE people. either car-ah or care-ah, but theres an a there. Theres no silent a in the english language that I've ever heard of. Stop saying wrong. there is a Car Mul street and i think theres a Car Mul city in louisiana as well, but they are spelled with out the a. |
