I hate how all of my favorite books are being ruined when they make it into a film. The Firm, Howl's Moving Castle, etc. They're just so bad, I can't ever stand to read it again.
THEY ARE DESTROYING LITERATURE!! |

THEY'RE MAKING A HIS DARK MATERIALS MOVIE?! D= yes, they are. there's a lot of information on it here. they're already holding auditions for the parts and everything. this production's been going on for a while now. Of course this is really great, since it will give His Dark Materials greater fame, and introduce more people to Philip Pullman's fascinating universe. If the movies turn out to be really good, His Dark Materials will be granted cult status for years to come. However, on the other hand, if the films turn out to be terrible spinoffs that aren't able to capture and convey the essence of His Dark Materials, then His Dark Materials fans around the world will be severely dissapointed, and others, who did not read the books, will get a really bad impression of these literary masterpieces. yeah, we'll see. |
