anybody else think that some things that are considered "romantic" are a bit cheesy? like writing songs and poems and candle light dinners? i dno..i always found that kinda stuff cheesy and never really appealed to me.

Cheesy...most people think just because something's cheesy, it must be instantly bad. Undeniable, some "cheesy" things can appear to be unoriginal, but it still takes about the same amount of effort and time. I once read in an interview (Ville Valo - Rocksound) :

"If I say , 'I love you, I wanna be with you, I wanna share my life with you' - all that stuff's really cheesy and y ou hear it all the time. But you only repeat things that are important." I don't actually mind if my partner does something cheesy with me. I just want to be with him, whatever we do is fine with me, it doesn't change my view about him. Whatever he does, it touches me deeply. |
