that you guys make me feel ashamed that I don't know anything about Asian music (of all sorts). So can someone give me a brief analysis of the various types (i.e. the difference between krock and jpop and all that good stuff)?
 And perhaps a few names to look into? Merci.

Um... well, these guys aren't together anymore (and haven't been for a long time), but Cibo Matto remains one of my favorite groups ever. They are fun, feisty and experimental (or were, at least :( )
