okay so theres this guy i like. iv known him for about a year now. i want to be more then friends with him. how should i give him 'hints'? I think he feels the same way about me but im not sure...

Well first, decide if you like him back. If you do, then start dropping hints, and flirt back with him. If you don't, please don't lead him on. Tell him ASAP that you don't. This will save a lot of heartache.
