I had the time of my (short) life with him, and now he wont talk to me =/ Options

I'm friends with this guy. Well, I use to be friends with him. Anyway, I'm pretty sure he liked me too. He'd hang out with me after school, and he used to flirt with me, and we used to play footsie in math. He made me laugh and feel so damn special, but...but...now he wont talk to me. The few occasions I've tried to talk to him he just gives a short answer and hurries off. But then I get all these weird signs from him that makes me sure he still likes me.
Like a couple days ago we were taking this test and then we had to go down for lunch. (This story may take a while. Feel free to take a little nap.) Usually he's on the first floor so he goes straight to the lunchroom and I'm on the third floor, but we were both taking this test on the third floor. I'm going to my homeroom to get my lunch (I love my brown paper bag, folks), so I have to walk past the staircase that leads directly to the lunchroom. He just keeps following me and his friends are all "Yo man what are you doing?", but he wont answer them (something he typically does when he's embarrassed). I go in homeroom and I'm trying to get the zipper on my darn bag to do what it's supposed to do when something tells me to look up. I do and he's standing right there in the middle of the doorway staring at me. I just look down again and ignore it, but I'm not sure why.
I dunno guys...what the hell is he thinking??? Does he hate me? Does he like me? Does he want to be freinds again? Did he forget about me? It's driving me insane.

well he obviously hasn't forgotten about you. it's sounds like he's realized that he likes you a lot and doesn't know what to do about it. you should talk to him. and not let him get away with a short answer. ask him why he's been avoiding you, if you did something wrong. don't let the conversation end until you have some answers. hope i helped!! good luck.
