i need to know what go on inside a courtroom when court is in session?
It's better to hear it from ppl than tv. Cause sometimes tv can be wrong. I need details about the room, the people, judge, jury, lawyers, defendants, bailiff, and stenographer. Please help. |

well, the actual court proceedings depend on the type of trial or hearing. if you are talking about a juried trial, then the layout is generally something like this (plus or minus some things that are unique or required of the specific court):
![]() but, i'm assuming that the actual happenings inside the courtroom vary from court to court, state to state, case to case, etc. i have attended a couple hearings (bail hearings, arragnments) and one "trial". but...i honestly can't say i noticed all that much. i was concentrating mostly on the people speaking. i was present for several witnesses for the trial, and it did play out much like the court scenes on television. as for the arraignments, those were quick and fairly confusing. |
