In case you didn't know, foie gras {Fwa-grah} is a French delicacy, a pate made from goose liver. I've never tried it, but I dunno if I want to..liver..
![]() I'm not sure when it happened, but when I woke up I was watching the news and they were talking about how foie gras was now officially banned, no chefs could serve it anymore. Their reason? They say that it's animal cruelty, because, supposedly, they force-feed the geese to make the liver meatier or healthier or something. Knowing this, would you still want to try foie gras? I'm kind of split on the subject. Anything having to do with force-feeding makes me feel ill, but then again, you always hear about how cruel furiers {Spelling?} are to animals before they kill them to use their fur. And who knows what livestock go through before they're killed for their meat.. Edit: I guess I should have posted this in the Foods forum. Oh well.
