Definition

Some people get confused or don't really know the complete definition for "Anime" or "Otaku" is. So here are the definitions to help you out!

Anime: a style of animation originating in Japan. It is sometimes referred to by the portmanteau Japanimation. Anime is characterized by stark, colorful graphics and stylized, colorful images depicting vibrant characters in a variety of different settings and story-lines, aimed at a wide range of audiences. Anime may be broadcast on television, distributed on media such as DVDs or published as console and computer games. Anime is usually influenced by Japanese comics known as manga.


Otaku: a variety of geek (or an overly obsessed fanboy / fangirl) specializing in anime and manga.

^ If I didn't know better, I'd say he looks like the ushi-boy from Furuba (c'mon, you can figure that out!). But he has too rounded of a chin. XD I'm so lucky to be insane enough that I've been exposed to bish for so long that it's not so effective anymore. The bish-spell as I called it once.
Oh yeah... And thank you Ranniel for the wicked cool banner! Gah, if I could draw anything beyond a face.... I'd totally join the next one! But alas, I can't draw to save my life. The last time an art teacher tried to get me to draw "with depth" and something not chibi... It looked like a terrible monster of an object!
On a completely random note... Doesn't anyone know the lyrics to Vanilla (by Gackt). Okay, if you do... I think it's a funny song. Funny to hear my friends listen to it and say "so what's he saying?" and I have to try and say it with a straight face.
