I mean, I love her and all, but it's going to be her, her grandmom and grandpop, and a bunch of their friends...hooray, an old person party. It's tonight...well, in a about 2 hours. Any excuses that don't sound lame?? I already told her I could go...but how do I get out of it?

I understand that the party is for older people, and that can be very boring, trust me I know, but you can't use that as an excuse to not be there for your friend on her birthday. It's only one night of your life, and if you don't show up there you, or she, may be really disapointed. I would go, and just try to make the best of it while you are there. Don't think, "oh great, I'm stuck here at a party with older people." instead, try taking a positive attitude, and be like, "I told her i'm coming, so i have to go. besides, you never know, maybe we'll have a great time afterall." you wont find out unless you go.
