I think they are. You got wack dudes like paul wall, d4l, dem franchise boyz, field mob, lil flip in the industry trying to heat the south up...but man I swear they are ruining the best chances that hip hop can get. Look at the east right now. IMO, they're in the top of their game right now. Jay Z and Nas joining forces, Papoose is just an ill mixtape monster doin his thing...You got Cass, Fab, Dipset, D-Block all movin a lot...jae millz what a what??? he crazy too...All NEW YORK...I mean I aint disrespecting the south or anythin but man their music is terrible...

Are you kidding me, the south has
Young Jeezy , and TI is killing it with that song What you know about that. On top of that Young Joc got a club banger called its going down. Seriously though, I don't know if its the South is killing Hip Hop or what, but I have definitely lost my passion for rap nowadays. It just seems like no one is talking about anything new. Have you heard that Lil Romeo - U can't shine like me, reminds me of Lil Bow Wow - U ain't fresh azimiz, he says everything that all rappers talk about, "I gotta a bently I haven't drove yet." Now where have I heard that before, Um P diddy in "Can't Nobody Hold me Down", basically what I'm trying to say is its like everyone is using recycled material and beats. |
