Anyone here got a home studio that makes music? I do, but very far from professional.

a good condenser mic is like about 100 dollars..then you need a preamp/mixer which ranges from 100-200 dollars...cheapest one I know is for 32 dollars which still works great with all that signals etc...also you need a good audio soundcard..which I don't have but still works fine..and blow dont suck, you can cop em at your local music equipment store...like sam ash is a good example

Our tascam mixer acts as a sound card as well. Saved us a lot of money. Because you have to drop several hundred to get a studio worthy sound card. Its one of the things you cant skimp on. And we got two incredibly good condenser mics for a 100 dollars. one was 40 and one was 60. musicians friend.com has the best deals cuz they bought all of Mars Musics inventory. And if you don't like internet shopping, most music stores like gutar center etc. will match the price in their catalougue. |
