QUOTE NASA is planning on crashing a space probe into the moon in 2009. The explosion will be visible on Earth through a telescope and it will create a crater roughly the size of a third of a football field. What do you think? the story |

I think they'll need to go to the un-employment office soon.

I think they'll need to go to the un-employment office soon. Yeah... Leave it to the Bush administration to go "Hey.... we should do something about the moon... I know! Let's blow it up." I'm not a physics major. I don't know what kind of effects this would have, but maybe someone can tell us. QUOTE The lunar spacecraft will target the south pole, releasing its SUV-sized impactor probe in January 2009 on a suicide plunge at about 5,600 miles per hour toward a frozen crater believed to contain hidden ice. If ice is found, it could be melted and the water used to help make rocket fuel or oxygen. It makes us sound like a plague. |
