it seems ridiculous to me that one cannot vote for someone who has already won.
the best staffer should win, hands down, each month, regardless of whether or not they have won before. to say that 'each mod deserves a turn' undermines the point of the voting, and just turns the whole concept into a massive 'let's make the mods feel GREAT about themselves, one by one' session, which is frankly a waste of time. i say abolish that rule. the best should win. period. |

Why does it matter? If someone's so great, just vote for them in Staff Member of the Year...
We usually have around 30 staff members, so getting twelve different ones isn't even giving everyone a chance. Each year, it will be a clean slate. Besides, a month isn't even a very long time. If someone is an exceptionally good staff member in February, obviously, they aren't going to be horrible in March. We already know that they're a good staff member, and if they are so completely exceptional, then they'll probably win Staff Member of the Year. Why is it SUCH a big deal that you can only win one month?...I'm pretty sure we can all find twelve good staff members. |
