conversation starters Options

i have a girlfriend and she is really cool and stuff.
we've been going out since 04/04/06
we talk alot online and it goes really well.
but when we are actually together,
things get kinda quiet and she tends to go away
and hangs out with her friends.
she tries to start conversations
but without realizing it, i end it pretty soon
by giving simple and short answers.
i try hugging her and holding her hand
but she still walks around to her friends
can you help?
i need good conversation starters

I think you should actually take her out. If you took her out somewhere, it would be just the two of you. That way, she can't run off to her friends when the conversation dies.

Talk to her about whatever you can think about. Like last week, my darling and I were in the car and I saw a bilboard displaying an ugly green car and we talked for awhile about it and it branched into commercials, food, animals, pets, etc.

In class, you can talk to her about music. Today, this guy I barely know struck up a conversation with me about music such as Fall Out Boy (he called them Fall Out Boys), Mariah Carey, Kelly Clarkson, Kanye West, James Blunt ( ) etc. I kind of wanted him to leave me the hell alone at the beginning but as we talked I got into the conversation.
