i have a girlfriend and she is really cool and stuff.
we've been going out since 04/04/06
we talk alot online and it goes really well.
but when we are actually together,
things get kinda quiet and she tends to go away
and hangs out with her friends.
she tries to start conversations
but without realizing it, i end it pretty soon
by giving simple and short answers.
i try hugging her and holding her hand
but she still walks around to her friends
can you help?

A definite turn off for me is a guy who doesn't know how to start and hold a conversation. When you reply with one-sided answers, any girl will figure you really aren't interested in talking to her, or in her at all. So, here are a few things you can try:

1. ask her about her plans for the day
2. compliment her on her clothing, hairstyle, whatever
3. ask her about her hobbies and things she likes to do on her spare time
4. maybe even talk about what she wants to do with her life, if she's open

But the most key factor to holding a conversation is LOOKING INTERESTED, even if you actually aren't.
