i have a girlfriend and she is really cool and stuff.
we've been going out since 04/04/06
we talk alot online and it goes really well.
but when we are actually together,
things get kinda quiet and she tends to go away
and hangs out with her friends.
she tries to start conversations
but without realizing it, i end it pretty soon
by giving simple and short answers.
i try hugging her and holding her hand
but she still walks around to her friends
can you help?

You probably just come off as a bit indifferent and...judgmental? When a girl talks to a guy that doesn't care about how stupid he sounds, and talks about anything and everything, she'll stop caring, too. Then the inhibitions disappear. I can say this because the guys I have the most fun talking to are the ones that can talk about anything, and in turn make me feel more comfortable when I talk about anything also.

So try to be a bit more talkative and try throwing in anything of remote interest into your conversations, no matter how random they seem. The girl will definitely appreciate your effort at making conversation.
