Okay, so here the thing. How do you know if someone likes you. Because my friend, actually made up a story about a girl who happened to be exactly like me, and showed it to me, and it was kind of getting to the point of him just saying he liked me. And now we are just friends again, and these mixed signals are just confusing me ohh soo much

You could approach him? If you're too shy for that, try asking him to a movie or something casual at first with a few friends and gradually make your way up to just you and him. If he's still going with you, then chances are he might have the hots for you!
