Bear with me here, guys.

I have a close friend who I've had a crush on for about a year now. He's smart, sweet, opens doors...he's everything that a girl would dub "knight-in-shining-armor-boyfriend" material. Thing is, he's moving at the end of this year and I haven't told him about my feelings yet in fear that he would flip out and start acting different around me. So prom of course is coming up, and all of our friends keep saying we're the "it" couple that everyone is waiting to get together. He already has a date that he's going with, and he made a point of telling me they're only going as "friends" and he won't go unless I go. Of course, I don't think this matters since he already has a date.
Anywho, we were cornered the other day by I group of mutual friends that pratically told him to take me to prom. Needless to say, it was rather awkward for both of us and he started acting really weird around me, even demanding that I go with his best friend.
Guys out there...what's up?

Yeah, he actually still is acting strange, and it's been 2 or 3 days since said incident. I had no intentions of stealing him from his date, that could get messy. blink.gif
*sigh*
