When did CB get so uptight about grammatical details?
Now, don't get me wrong. I realize that correct grammar and coherent sentences are important. Sure, sometimes I can't help but subtly pointing out a grammatical mistake. But is it really necessary to bash someone for a run-on sentence or misplaced apostrophe? Do people really deserve less respect because of the way they type? It seems as if some people are desperate for superiority... I'm surprised at how many evangelical grammatists have developed on this forum. Thoughts? Opinions? Partagez avec nous, s'il-vous-plait. |

And it's not like were always trying to be rude.. ever thought that sometimes we might genuinely want to help people? At least, that's how I see it. Some people simply don't know the difference between "their", "there", and "they're". I don't see anything wrong with correcting them. Or maybe we could just smack them upside the head for not paying attention in English class. :p |
