When did CB get so uptight about grammatical details?
Now, don't get me wrong. I realize that correct grammar and coherent sentences are important. Sure, sometimes I can't help but subtly pointing out a grammatical mistake. But is it really necessary to bash someone for a run-on sentence or misplaced apostrophe? Do people really deserve less respect because of the way they type? It seems as if some people are desperate for superiority... I'm surprised at how many evangelical grammatists have developed on this forum. Thoughts? Opinions? Partagez avec nous, s'il-vous-plait. |

Silly, eh? nice theory, but not really true. Some of us are genuinely bothered by particularly horrific mistakes. Not spelling so much as useage errors. It's not a matter of being mean about it either, but for people who are at all observant, things that are horrifically wrong can be extremely irritating. |
