When did CB get so uptight about grammatical details?
Now, don't get me wrong. I realize that correct grammar and coherent sentences are important. Sure, sometimes I can't help but subtly pointing out a grammatical mistake. But is it really necessary to bash someone for a run-on sentence or misplaced apostrophe? Do people really deserve less respect because of the way they type? It seems as if some people are desperate for superiority... I'm surprised at how many evangelical grammatists have developed on this forum. Thoughts? Opinions? Partagez avec nous, s'il-vous-plait. |

Mmmm. I've actually gotten a lot better about not correcting people. Sometimes I can't help it though; some mistakes are just far too irksome to let go.
I love English but I can accept that not everyone is good with it, other people should to. Since we're on the topic, that should be "too," not "to." But never fear, I insult you not. I'm quite sure it was just a typo. ![]() (In fact, since reading this topic, I've found 5 cringe-worthy grammatical errors in topic titles, but was kind enough not to point them out. Just for you.)
