This is kinda weird but I was talking with my friend about heaven and we came across a question; can you still go to heaven if you commit suicide?(you would obviously already believe and God and all)
I know it's a weird question but I was just wondering what your opinions were about that.

Murder is wrong because one takes something precious that belongs to another; but I think that a person certainly has a right to do what he wants with his own possessions, and his own life is one of his own possessions.

I don't advocate suicide, but I don't place it on the same level as murder, because it is a willing act.

Don't get me wrong, I completely agree with you; like, I see murder as a sin because I see it as a form of stealing, stealing someone's life. I don't see how you can steal your OWN life, something that's already yours, but I could also understand why others would say that it's a sin.

If you kill yourself, that's still ending a life that God created. It's not giving yourself the chance to live a life that could make you more like Jesus, which is what Catholics say the main reason is for living.

Plus, saying that it doesn't affect anyone else would be a weak arguement. It would affect your family, your friends..your whole community.
