Nick Naylor, chief spokesman for Big Tobacco, makes his living defending the rights of smokers and cigarette makers in today’s neo-puritanical culture. Confronted by health zealots and an opportunistic senator, Nick goes on a PR offensive, spinning away the dangers of cigarettes, but he begins to think about how his work makes him look in the eyes of his young son Joey.

This movie came out in the middle of March, but i never heard of it until i was looking at the myspace homepage and came across its website. It looks like it's only being shown in select theaters, but i really want to see it! it also received pretty good ratings and reviews. i guess ill have to wait until it comes out on DVD. check out the trailer and share your opinions! Wow. That movie looks suprisingly good! I'll have to go see it.

If you want my opinion on smoking, I really don't care. People can do what they want to their own bodies, it's not like they're shoving cigarettes down my throat. If people want to smoke their brains out, then let them do it. For me, it's easy to avoid cigarette smoke anyway, and I've been around my father's cigar smoke for a while, so I'm used to the smell. Last time I checked, I was perfectly healthy too.
