I don't even think fifteen would be a good time...there's plenty of idiotic fifteen year-olds running around. And the ones that would vote would have no idea what they're voting for.

I don't even think fifteen would be a good time...there's plenty of idiotic fifteen year-olds running around. And the ones that would vote would have no idea what they're voting for. As if there aren't idiotic 18 and even 56 year olds running around? A politician's best friend is an ignorant voter. Funny thing, most voters seem to be a politician's best friend. Plus, the argument that a level of "stupidity" should dictate whether or not one has a right to vote is very hard to make given that we live in a democratic republic. Plus, in this context, it's just agism. I have met plenty of 15 year old who I think would be more competent voters than 18 and up, and vice versa. |
