I already posted this in the Have a Virus? thread, but no one noticed it.
But yeah, so I don't think I have a virus, but my computer is still REALLY slow. I've tried deleting any programs I don't use anymore, I defragment the harddrive on a daily basis, I do a full-system scan for viruses every week, and I check for spyware also everyday. And my laptop is STILL slow as f**k. It's annoying. It takes like 10 minutes for it to load up and everything. Help? |

What processes load on startup? Maybe you are using resource hogging programs that launch at startup.
Laptops will generally take longer to boot since their drives are typically 5400 rpm, versus 7200 or even 10000 on desktops. |
