I know there are other topics about smoking and what not, however, I wanted to talk specifically about hookah. If you have no idea what hookah is, look here.
Anyway, I've noticed that lately it seems to have become more popular (at least that I know of) and more people seem to be going to hookah bars and whatnot. Well, I just have some questions for you all. Have you tried it? Would you try it? What are your thoughts about it? Just basically have a discussion about here. (by the way, I put this in health because it seemed other people put smoking topics in here, but if it should be moved to some place like The Lounge, please do so) -------------- So yes, I tried hookah before. I don't really think it's all that great, it's more of just something to do. Plus it's interesting. I don't get a buzz or anything off of it. I've tried various flavored tabacco like strawberry, watermelon, and orange. I don't really think it's as bad for you when compared to smoking cigarrettes or weed. After all it is legal once you turn 18 and the effects of it are a lot less damaging, or so I've heard/read. |

Have you tried it? No i have not, since my parents won't let me go out lounging.
Would you try it? Yes I would, even though it's rather hypocritical of me since I don't like smokers. Hookah, or shisha as we call it in taiwan/asia intrigues me. What are your thoughts about it? well, after reading the wikipedia article on it, I guess there's not too much of a difference between smoking cigarettes and hookah. Even though I don't see the appeal in cigarettes, I find hookah more interesting. I guess I'll try it a few times, and I'll see. |

I thought the device itself is the hukka, while shisha is the tobacco you smoke? Anyway..that's weird. I always thought hukka was way healthier than smoking. |

Shisha can refer to both the hookah, or the tobacco smoked in it. And no, there isn't any evidence to suggest that smoking from a hookah is any more or less healthy than smoking cigarettes or pipes. |
