Ok, even though in England if you're over 14, it's with food, and an adult buys it you're allowed to drink(so it was most likely perfectly legal) but...still. I think she could atleast wait until she's 18, she's got to be a role model for millions of young girls. From thesuperficial.com: QUOTE I love it when 15-year-old girls put on Snoopy shirts and illegally drink beer in front of the camera. Especially when they're fancy schmancy actresses who play Hermione in Harry Potter movies. It's a pretty specific love, but it's a deep one. That just made me laugh. solely because i've had one or three unfortunate incedents doesnt mean that OVERALL it isnt more responsible... *flip flop* and for god sake... you people are, by and large, overly prudish. she had some alcohol!!! *world ends and she is sent to hell to burn for all eternity* 3? ![]() *whacks harder* I was mainly going by what you told me, which was laughing when I mentioned Katherine's theory on it being more responsible. |

3? ![]() *whacks harder* I was mainly going by what you told me, which was laughing when I mentioned Katherine's theory on it being more responsible. you know about all three... sarah's, halloween, and... i actually cannot think... thos are the on;ly two which stand out... maybe i was thinking of the bbq? if so, it really is only two, beacause that was just funny. and you dont hear the 'james drinks responsibly' stories, they're less memorable... like last night.. i went to amy's for her birthday, had som eber and some malibou, all was well. we were skaning in her living room. to the artic monkeys. hardcore. QUOTE don't really mind if anyone wants to drink. That's their choice. And, so long as they do it responsibly, it shouldn't be any big deal. But, the biggest problem I have with this thread is everyone is acting like drinking makes you a normal person, "like the rest of us." I don't drink, infact, alot of people don't drink. Are they not normal? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) Also, somehow, alot of you seem to imply that since alot of teenages do it in the first place that it isn't a big deal or that that justifies underage drinking, etc. What is with that? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) there is more than one way to be 'normal'. you can be a normal person and drink, and not drink. they arent mutually exclusive. and it isnt 'not a big deal' beacuse teens do it. its the other wa around teens do it because it is not a big deal. there is no real reason why someone at 16 should be unable to handle alcohol, provided they drink responsibly |

I actually forgot about Sarah's and thought there was another Halloween-esque occurance. I wasn't really caring, but since we had the flip-flop out, it seemed as good a time as any to hit you with it. Anyway, my previous comments were merely that although it's legal to drink younger, it doesn't mean they're more responsible or they do it less at that age just because it's legal, as a friend tried to say. I eavesdop on tales of the previous weekend's "cool" parties every week, and despite them many people I don't care about hooking up, they seem generally tamer than the things you tell me about. But of course. when it is more of a culturally natural thing to drink, then people do grow up used to it and it becomes less of a big deal, like Italy and whatnot. |
