Its a fantastic poem, but how can i reflect the meaning of the poem through digital art (and maybe photography)! I seriously need help on how i can reflect the poems: Meanings (both literal and non-literal), characters, his love/loss of Lenore and the raven through digital art (i.e. Photoshop). If you have never heard the poem, heres a link to it:The Raven

Or a summarized version: Summary

Please help me. This is for a major, MAJOR, MAJOR project. And yeah. wink.gif

I'd like to point out that it's okay for you to bump your topic if you're not getting any help, sometimes topics get overlooked. If it was me, I'd just be like "Sorry to be impatient, but does anyone have any advice?" *shrug*

The likely reason that it wasn't answered could be that it's a difficult question and I myself am at sort of a loss. I'm always bad at this sort of thing.. Plus this has more to do with literature than simply digital art, where most of us are used to answering "how do you...?" threads.

I would map out all the symbolism you've learned in class about the poem, and think about the overall mood you want to convey. Do you want to show love or despair? Do you want to show both on two different sides of the image, maybe one side fading/blending into the other? What object wil you use to convey this mood? You could show the different feelings in a person, plant, or animal perhaps.. I dunno, just some things to think about.

Once you have your strategy, think about a color scheme and start getting your images together. I don't think the actual photoshop work will be the hard part. _smile.gif If you end up with an idea but don't know how to do it, we're always here to help out, and if you're still stuck let us know what you've done as far as brainstorming (the things I mentioned above). Also, how long do you have for this project?
