I wasn't sure where to put this, feel free to move, but I'm in desperate need of help.
For some reason my computer is all messed up. This interent (Avant Browser) is the only thing allowing me to open. The rest just don't do anything when i click on them. My icons on my desktop are there, but it isn't the normal icon. It was a little window on it, and what looks like icons. I would get a screenshot, but that also refuses to open. My interent or anything in the bottom task bar dosen't load. Only the charger (laptop) reminder. I was hoping someone would know a way to fix this. I was talking to a friend of mine and he said that this was because my computer's memory was full. This is true, and it's given me several reminders, but there wasn't even enough memory to do a disk clean-up. I was thinking maybe a system restore, but I can't get into my control panel, and I guess there's a way to do F8? That didn't work, or maybe I'm just doing it wrong. Anyone care to help me out? Please? :( |

Ctrl+Alt+Delete - click on processes - look at the cpu column - end the process eating up the most percentage unless it's System Idle Process.
If that doesnt work, download AVG, Spybotsearch and destroy, Ewido, maybe avast, and go into safemode and run all of them. If all else fails, head to the computer shop for a fixing or reformatting. I highly suggest you download the firefox browser from www.mozilla.org to prevent certain malicious scripts from activating - it's the only web browser i trust completely. Also, i think The ultimate troubleshooter from answersthatwork can help you figure out which processes to end. If it's just the memory, buy a stick or two of RAM from the computer store - make sure it's compatible with your motherboard, however. if you don't know, you should just bring your computer to the store and ask for help upgrading the memory. Right now 128/256 megabytes would be the minimum for safe RAM range depending what you use your computer for. |

Sigh, I need to clear something up. All the web browsers work. THey are all fine, alot of people say they use Firefox because it's safer and all that crap. Well, if you guys would stop going onto crap sites with links and pop ups everywhere, then you wouldn't need it. Point being, you don't need firefox if you know what the f**k you are doing online. So all you people who go look at porn and all that werid shit online. Warez, hackings, illegal downloads, etc... If you don't look up that nonsense shit, you wouldn't NEED firefox in the first f**king place. |
